Description

1 item (enclosure to Major-General Amherst's despatch of 17 June 1759) extracted from CO 5/55 (f 481). New York: Lake Oneida. Plan and profile of a 'Post designed for 150 Men with the Barracks for Officers and Men, to have loop-holes to open on occasion for a Second Fire over the inside Stockade, on the South West end of the Oneyda Lake'. Scale: 1 inch to 40 feet (plan); 1 inch to 30 feet (section).
