2 items extracted from CO 111/208 (number 4). 2 copies (with slight variations) of 'Sketch Map of British Guiana, by Robert H Schomburgk Esqr [Esquire].' showing boundaries claimed by Great Britain, Venezuela and Brazil. With inset views of New Amsterdam and George Town with its lighthouse. Manuscript annotations relate to the boundary lines proposed by the Brazilians and by the English in 1844. Scale: 1 inch to about 40 miles. The second copy shows the alteration in manuscript of the imprint from 'Ordered, by the House of Commons to be printed, 11 May 1840. John Arrowsmith, Lithog [Lithographer]. Luke G & Luke J Hansard, Printers' to 'London, John Arrowsmith, 10 Soho Square 1840'.
