A sheet of 8 small maps being copies of the following: Mitchell's Map compiled for the Plantation Office 13 February 1755; a second copy of Mitchell's Map accurately adjusted for latitude and longitude; P Coronelli's 'Partie Orientale du Canada' Paris 1689; Marcus L'Escarbot's 'Figure de la Terre Neuve Grande Riviere de Canada et Cotes de l'Ocean en la Nouvelle France, 1609; Colonel Bouchette's section of the land between the sources of the St Croix and the Risdigouce Rivers; a sketch of part of the River St John west of the Maclawassa River; Guillaume de Lisle's (revised) 'Carte du Canada' 1783; and a second version of Coronelli's map. Referred to in the report of the British commissioners appointed to explore and survey the territories in dispute with the USA, 16 April 1840. The maps refer in particular to the boundary line between New Brunswick, Quebec and Maine from Chaleur Bay to the south of the St John River. 'Engraved by Jas. Wyld,... Charing Cross East, London.'
