Rectangular panel containing the dedication: 'To His Excy. Sr. Thos. Robinson Bart [To His Excellency Sir Thomas Robinson, Baronet]. Governor and Commandr [Commander] in Chief of Barbados etc. This Map of the Fortified Part thereof drawn by his Command, is with the greatest Respt [respect] inscribed by His Excellency's Most devoted hble Servt [humble servant] John Trail Engineer. Febry. 9th. 1746 [9 February 1746]'. Reference table to forts and batteries, giving the number of cannon in each. Scale: 2 inches to 1 mile. Compass rose.
