2 items extracted from CO 42/388 (folio 341-342). Lower Canada (now Quebec) and Upper Canada (now Ontario): Ottawa River: Chaudière Falls. 2 sheets of plans and sections. (1) 'Plan of the Proposed Improvements in the Timber Channel': plan and 2 sections of locks, dams and bridges. Reference table to new buildings. (2) 'Plan & Section of the Line of Bridges Over the Chaudiere Falls'. Both items to scale: 1 inch to 60 feet [1:720] (horizontal); 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240] (vertical). Compass indicators to item 2. Both items drawn by John Burrows, Overseer of Works. Countersigned: Lieutenant Colonel John By, Royal Engineers, Officer Commanding the Rideau Canal, (1) 22 November 1828; (2) 1 January 1829.
