2 items extracted from CO 273/80. Straits Settlements: Pinang (now part of the Federation of Malaysia): Province Wellesley: Perai River. 2 sheets of elevations and sections relating to a proposed girder bridge, with dimensions. (1) General elevation of the bridge, and an elevation and cross-section of one span. Scale: 1 inch to 4 feet [1:48] (except the general elevation). By Pearse Wells. (2) Section through the river bed, showing sub-strata and abutments, and a suggested spacing and depth for the foundations of the screw-pile pier borings. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240]. Signed: W Richards. Dimensions: (1) 63.5 cm x 98.5 cm; (2) 34.5 cm x 100.5 cm.
