Description

2 items (originally enclosed with correspondence from Major-General H M Mason, Political Resident at Aden, 8 October 1904) extracted from FO 78/5440. Arabian peninsula. 2 maps (showing areas now in Yemen). (1) 'Sketch of village of Mazub Habil al Khandar looking North into Turkish Territory... ': showing the boundary line [between Aden and the Ottoman Empire], neutral zones and limits. (2) IB Topo Dy No 5337: 'Sketch of Anglo-Turkish Boundary near Sanah [Sana]': showing villages, terrain etc. Reference table. Compass indicator. Both items signed: Lieutenant Q A Yule, Royal Engineers, 29 September 1904. Dimensions: (1) 19 cm x 31.5 cm; (2) 41.5 cm x 19.5 cm.
