South-west Asia: Caucasus, Middle East and Turkey. Map on 4 sheets, showing the area between Sinop (now in Turkey), Batum (now Bat'umi, Georgia), Yerevan (now in Armenia), Tabriz (now in Iran), Basrah (now in Iraq) and Aleppo (now Halab, Syria): (1) IDWO 1058: 'Part 1. Country from the Black Sea to Sivas and Erzerum [now Erzurum]'; (2) IDWO 1059: 'Part 2. Central Kurdistan'; (3) IDWO 1060: 'Part 3. Country North of the Persian Gulf'; (4) IDWO 1061: 'Part IV. Country from the Gulf of Alexandretta [now Iskenderun] to Erzerum and Bitlis'. Reference tables to routes passable and difficult for troops, and navigable rivers; explanation of Turkish terms. Scale:1:1,500,000, except item 2: 1:1,013,760. Compiled by Captain Mansell; lithographed at the Intelligence Division, War Office, 1894. Sheet sizes between 33 cm x 54.5 cm and 78.5 cm x 56 cm.
