Description

1 item (enclosed in Sir A Nicolson's [despatch] number 134, 20 September 1901) extracted from FO 99/381. North Africa. Map showing the route of a journey made by James McIver Macleod, British Vice-Consul at Fes (Morocco), going east towards Oran, south to Jenan Dar (?now Djenien Bou Rez), west to Kenadsa and back to Fes via [Spanish-administered] Melilla; also showing the boundary between Morocco and [French] Algeria, railways, Moorish and French military posts or garrisons, and French lines of communication. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to about 64 miles. Traced from [IDWO] 746. Originally produced to illustrate Vice Consul Macleod's despatches numbers 28-29, September 1901; these despatches are not in the parent document.
