1 item (originally part of Mr Lettsom's despatch number 54, 23 December 1867) extracted from FO 51/144. Paraguay: Ñeembucú department. 'Teatro de la guerra en el Paraguay... ': map. Reference tables. Scale: 1 inch to 2.8 miles. Compass indicators. MS additions, including the English title: 'The seat of war in Paraguay. Taken from the balloon', showing the 'Section of the River Paraguay where Humaitá is situated and where the Brasilian [sic] Ironclads are operating'. Overlay: 'President Lopez is somewhere hereabouts'.
