Description

1 item (originally part of Lord Kitchener's despatch, 29 May 1913) extracted from FO 371/1571. East Africa. Map showing the frontiers of Abyssinia (now Ethiopia) with Anglo-Egyptian Sudan, British East Africa (now Kenya and Uganda), British, French and Italian Somaliland (now Djibouti and Somalia) and Italian Eritrea. Key to contour shading. Compiled and lithographed at the War Office, 1908. MS additions showing Lord Kitchener's proposals for the partition of Abyssinia between France, Great Britain and Italy. MS key to additions.
