2 items (to illustrate report by Captain George Alexander Hill, 4th Manchester Regiment and Royal Airforce, on work for DMI, 24 February - 2 October 1918) extracted from FO 371/3350. 'Map of European Russia showing railways, waterways and military districts 1914': (covering territory now in Finland, Poland, the Russian Federation and other countries formerly comprising the Soviet Union); railways omitted on both items. Reference tables. Compiled and lithographed at the Intelligence Division, War Office, December 1891; revised to July 1914; (2) has additions to February 1916. MS additions, coloured, to both items, showing courier routes after 22 August [1918]; typed reference keys (different for each item) to additions are affixed.
