2 items extracted from FO 84/1479. Portuguese East Africa (now Mozambique). 'The ports of Conducia, Moçambique, Mokambo and Kivolani on the East Coast of Africa.' 2 copies of a map showing terrain, buildings and routes. (1) is MS, coloured, on tracing paper, with damage to the left (western) edge; (2) is a printed, coloured, copy. Scale: 1 inch to about 1.17 nautical miles. Compass roses. Item 1 [?traced] from Admiralty Chart 653. Both items signed: F Elton, British Consul for Portuguese Possessions, East Africa, Mozambique, 21 May 1877. MS endorsement to item 2: 'To accompany Elton's Despatch No. 20 of May 28 1877'.
