Description

1 item (enclosure with 'Appreciation of the Situation on the Iraq Front', sent by Major F M Montresor, War Office, to Mr Bland, Foreign Office) extracted from FO 371/10826. 'Eastern Turkey in Asia': relief map showing contours, rivers, lakes, roads, railways, towns etc. Scale: 1 inch to 23.5 miles. Printed at the War Office, October 1919. MS additions, [1925], showing the border between Turkey and Iraq near Mosul, and the position and strength of Turkish troops that could be used to accede Mosul to Turkey by force.
