2 items (originally in file concerning transport targets in enemy-occupied countries) extracted from FO 837/385. Maps of Germany and occupied territory (also covering areas that are now Austria and the Czech Republic, and parts of Poland, the Russian Federation and Slovakia), showing towns, roads, railways, etc. Reference table to item 2. Scale to item 2: 3.4 inches to 100 miles. Item 2 compiled and drawn in the Research and Analysis Branch, OSS, 8 April 1944. Insets to item 2, showing: Ruhr valley industrial area; junctions near Cologne, Trier and Gleiwitz (now Gliwice, Poland); the Klagenfurt - Ljubljana - Villach area. MS additions, coloured, showing areas selected as bomb targets: (1) transportation targets; MS reference table to ordnance depots, and motor transport and armoured field vehicles factories; (2) industrial targets, including major oil production installations, and communications targets; reference table to the additions is attached. Dimensions: (1) 68 cm x 92 cm; (2) 60 cm x 79 cm.
