1 item extracted from FO 252/217. Central America. 'Plan of the Nicaragua Ship Canal as Relocated by the U.S. Surveying Expedition of 1885, Civil Engr. A.G. Menocal, U.S.N.': showing the area from Greytown (now San Juan del Norte) following the San Juan River through Lake Nicaragua to the Pacific Ocean at Brito; also showing the location of the canal from the 1872 surveys. Reference key. Scale: 0.9 inches to 5 miles (1 inch to about 5.56 miles). Compass indicator to true north. Inset: a profile view of the proposed canal.
