3 items extracted from FO 17/386. China: Chekiang (now Zhejiang) Province. (1) Sketch map, showing administrative areas and cities, rivers and relief shading. (2) Plan of foreign settlement in the city of Ningpo (now Ningbo), showing the canal, the position of guns controlling the canal, proposed carriage roads, the English consulate, soundings of the surrounding river and the city wall. (3) 'Plan showing disposition of Guns on Western Walls of Ningpo': showing weight of shot and angle of fire over the canal; scale: 1 inch to about 165 yards. Dimensions: (1) 28 cm x 28 cm; (2) 24.9 cm x 23.1 cm; (3) 52.1 cm x 36.8 cm. (1) was a sub-enclosure to enclosure 3 in [despatch] number 370, 1862.
