Description

1 item (enclosure to Consul Campbell's letter, 1 November 1858) extracted from FO 2/24. West Africa. 'Map of the West Coast of Africa comprising Guinea, and the British Possessions at Sierra Leone, on the Gambia and the Gold Coast [now Ghana], together with the Countries within the Courses of the Rivers Senegal, Gambia and Kowara, compiled from Official documents, by John Arrowsmith, 1858'. Scale: 1 inch to about 52 miles. Published by John Arrowsmith, 10 Soho Square, 17 April 1858. Inset: 'The Lower Course of the River Niger as far as it was ascended under Captn. Trotter R.N., 1841'.
