1 item extracted from FO 5/557. 'Carte de la République de Costa Rica dédiée au Souverain Congrès, par le Capitaine G el. Lafond Consul G al. de cette République en France. 1851'. The map shows some areas now in Nicaragua and Panama. Scale: 1 inch to about 27 miles. Paris meridian. Inset charts: Golfo Dulce (scale: 1 inch to about 8 miles); Boca del Toro and Chiriqui Bays (scale: 1 inch to about 5 miles). Lithographed by Fd Delamare, rue St André des Arts, Paris. Printed by Lemercier, rue de Seine, Paris. Coloured MS additions highlight area around the Golfo Dulce. According to the endorsement, this map was sent to Lord Palmerston on 4 June 1852.
