1 item (enclosure in J Savile Lumley's despatch no 65 of 28 September 1864) extracted from FO 65/662. Map of the Russian Empire, showing military districts, terrain, waterways and telegraph communications. Title interwoven with delicate lines and foliage. General reference table to conventional signs; reference table to military districts in Caucasus; table of distances by rail. Insets: Siberia; St Petersburg. Drawn by A P Shevelev, Lt Col of the [Russian] General Staff. Lithographed by Emcheninov, St Petersburg, 1864. Printed by A Stepanov. Passed by the censor at St Petersburg on 5 August 1864. A pencilled note states that the map was issued as supplement to the Regulations for Military Districts [issued on 6/18 August 1864].
