1 item extracted from FO 72/168 (f 213). 'The Bay of Honduras': chart showing soundings. Also shows the isthmus between 13°30'N and 19°N: hills, rivers, place names; area between the Belize and Hondo rivers defined as 'Bay Men or British Logwood Cutters'. Scale: 1 inch to about 22 miles. Quarter compass rose and lines. Longitudes based on Ferro meridian. Engraved by Thomas Jefferys, Geographer to His Majesty. Corrected and improved in 1800. Published 12 January 1800 by Laurie & Whittle, 53 Fleet Street, London. A dotted line in black ink connects falls on the River Hondo with a point high up the River Wallis and thence to the coast at Mullingers River.
