'"A" Diagram of a Portion of Oregon Territory': map showing area between the coast and the Rocky Mountains (from Mount Baker to Mount Rainier), south of 47°N and north of the '4 th Standard Parallel'; international boundary throught the Vancouver and Juan de Fuca Straits. Also shows townships south of Puget Sound which it was proposed to survey in 1853 and 1854. Scale: 1 inch to 10 miles. (Signed) John B Preston, Surveyor General. Traced by John Arrowsmith, 10 Soho Square, 2 October 1856, to accompany his letter to the Hudson Bay Company. Note by Arrowsmith on the depiction of the boundary.
