1 item (enclosure no 2 to Sir H Parker's despatch of 9 August 1869) extracted from FO 345/29. 'Map of Silk District to accompany Mr. Adams's Report': map of Japan between 138°E and Yedo (now Tokyo) in the east, and between 34°N and 37°N, showing Mr Adams's route; rivers, the high road from Yedo to Kioto, provincial boundaries, residencies of Daimios. Reference table. Scale not shown. Compass star. Lithographed by Harrison & Sons, St Martin's Lane, London WC. 'Mr Adams' was Francis Ottiwell Adams, Secretary to the British Legation in Japan.
