1 item extracted from FO 83/12. 'A Draught of the Coast of Africa from the Streights Mouth to Cape Bona Esprance'. Shows European factories along the coast of West Africa; the factories are marked by flags, most of them coloured to indicate nationality. Title in a rectangular frame. Scale: 1 inch to 90 leagues. Compass indicators, within the border, at lower left and upper right corners. Near left border a meridian of longitude, at about 20°W, is marked with degrees of latitude. Inset enlargement of the coast between Cape Apollonia and Whydah. The border of the map has been trimmed. This map may have been printed from an altered state of the plate used to print MPG 1/221 and MPG 1/573. It appears to be of earlier date than 1773, the date of the papers with which it was bound.
