Description

1 item (enclosure to Sir Henry Seymour's despatch of 16 May 1837) extracted from FO 10/49. Belgium, France: Ghent-Lille railway. 'Carte Generale de la Route en Fer projetée entre Gand et Lille avec Embranchement sur Tournay. 1837'. Title in rectangle at upper right corner. Scale: 11.5 cm to 10 km. There is no compass indicator, but Lille appears on this map to be placed west by south of Ghent rather than south-west. Drawn by Messrs Simons and de Ridder, engineers. Lithographed by V Labargé.
