1 item (enclosure to Sir William Hamilton's despatch no 39 of 24 December 1793) extracted from FO 70/6. 'Pianta di Tolone e delle sue vicinanze': physical map of the area around Toulon, France, between Bandol and Cape Carcairiano, and inland to Le Revest. Title and scale in ornate cartouche. Scale: 9.8 cm to 1,500 tese. Compass star. Drawn by Luigi Bardet, Lt, Professor at the Royal Military Academy, [Naples]. Engraved by Giuseppe Guerra, Naples. Hamilton's despatch describes the plan as 'taken on the spot lately by a Neopolitan Engineer, and... by General Acton's order... just Engraved and Published at Naples. It is said to be very exact ....'
