Map of the Trans-Caspian Railway, showing the area between Krasnovodsk (now Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan) and Samarkand (now in Uzbekistan). Scale: 1 inch to 16 miles. Prepared by the Intelligence Branch, Quartermaster General's Department, Simla, June 1887. 2 insets: 'Section of British branch line, Sukkur [now in Pakistan] to Abdulla and extension to Khudari'; 'Section of Russian branch line, Charjui [now Chardzhev, Turkmenistan] to Bosagn'; both at horizontal scale: 1 inch to 25.4 miles; vertical scale: 1 inch 2,540.
