Description

4 items (6 sheets) extracted from CP 43/715 rot 37 Hil 2 Geo III. Leicestershire: Frisby on the Wreake. (1)-(2) Sealed copy of a confirmed Certificate of Redemption of Corn Rents relating to lands in Frisby on the Wreak dated 24 March 1931; (3) Certificate of Redemption of Corn Rents in Frisby on the Wreak dated 1 April 1931; (4)-(5) Sealed copy dated 24 March 1931 of a confirmed Altered Apportionment of Corn Rents in Frisby on the Wreak made 30 September 1930; (6) Plan of lands in Frisby on the Wreak referred to in the altered appointment of corn rents dated 30 September 1930. Scale: 1 inch to 200 feet.

Arrangement

The altered apportionment and the map were transferred to the Public Record Office by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in 1930 and seem to have been sewn immediately into the portfolio under the reference MPL 8. The wording on the extract sheet in CP 43/715 makes it clear that they should have been kept with the enrolment of the Enclosure Award on CP 43/715. It was presumably considered impractical to sew them into this document and an extract sheet was sewn in instead, giving details of the map and apportionment, the information that they should be kept with the enrolment and the reference under which they could be found. Subsequently, the two certificates of redemption of corn rents (dated 1931) were sewn into the portfolio in front of the apportionment and map
