[1795]-1953
5 items (in 7 sheets) extracted from CP 43/847 rot 106. Lincolnshire: Ludford lordship. (1)-(2) Sealed copy dated 16 March 1953 of a confirmed Altered Apportionment of Corn Rents in Ludford; (3) Sealed copy dated 24 September 1929 of a confirmed Certificate of Redemption of Corn Rents relating to lands in Ludford; (4)-(5) Sealed copy dated 19 December 1928 of a confirmed Certificate of Redemption of Corn Rents relating to lands in Ludford; (6) Copy dated 16 March 1953 of the map or plan referred to in the Altered Apportionment of Corn Rents mentioned at (1)-(2) above; (7) Map to accompany enclosure award of 7 February 1795 pursuant to Act 31 Geo III, c lxi. Enclosure map of Ludford (lordship), Lincolnshire. Map covers the whole parish / township (2950 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows spring, grassland, post-enclosure field acreages, gardens, gates, footpaths or bridleways, named turnpike roads, houses and uninhabited buildings (distinguished by colour), chalk pit, field boundary ownership, named enclosure allottees. With border and compass indicator. Scale: 1 inch to 7 chains. By Thomas Bainbridge, 1792. Dimensions of sheet: 90.7 cm x 78.0 cm
The altered apportionment and its accompanying map were transferred to the Public Record Office by the Tithe Redemption Commission in 1953 and seem to have been sewn immediately into the portfolio under the reference MPLL 3 where the enclosure map extracted from CP 43/847 had already been placed. The wording on the extract sheet in CP 43/847 makes it clear that they should have been kept with the enrolment of the Inclosure Award on CP 43/847. It was presumably considered impractical to sew them into this document and an extract sheet was sewn in instead, giving details of the map and apportionment, the information that they should be kept with the enrolment and the reference under which they could be found. Subsequently, the two certificates of redemption of corn rents (dated 1928 and 1929) were sewn into the portfolio in front of the apportionment, its map, and the enclosure map
