2 items (originally illustrating a minute: 'The Northern Frontier of the Eastern Aden Protectorate and of Dhofar (Muscat) with Saudi Arabia', by A D Parsons, 14 December 1954) extracted from FO 371/110102. (1) Arabian Peninsula. Outline map on 3 joined sheets, together covering the area between 40° and 60°E and as far north as 19°N on the western side and 27°N on the eastern side, showing place names; (the territory covered is now chiefly in Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen). Scale: 1 inch to about 32 miles. Printed by the Research Department, Foreign Office, November 1949. MS additions, coloured, marking successive boundary lines in the region, 1913-1949. (2) A separate sheet bearing a typescript and MS reference table to the boundaries shown on the map.
