1 item, numbered (4), (originally enclosed in a letter from John Mitchell to Lord Grenville, 30 December 1800,) extracted from FO 22/38 (folio 312). Denmark and Sweden: Kattegat strait. The left-hand (western) side only of a chart, in Swedish, covering the area between Tønsberg (now in Norway) and Kiel (now in Germany), showing coastal towns, rivers, shoals, shallows, named islands (including Zealand (Sjælland), Fyn and Lolland), and soundings. Scale: 1 inch to about 6 miles. Compass rose; rhumb lines; angles of declination in 1770. MS reference notes, in English, chiefly concerning military strategy. Mitchell recommended the chart as: '... the best yet taken up, and more dependable than English charts ...'.
