Document type: Depositions of a witness touching a commission upon the death of Prudence Chappell, supposed to be the daughter of Richard Whittingham. [Richard Whittingham left three messuages in Crayford, Kent, held of the Crown in socage, to his illegitimate daughter Prudence and her heirs, who died an infant and intestate, having by letter of attorney enfeoffed one Stephen: discussed in Star Chamber 45 Eliz, and reported by Coke. The lands then escheated to the Crown. [Probably late Elizabeth]
