'Plan Proposed for a Central Thoroughfare to Extend Long Acre and The Strand on the West to Cheapside on the East for the Purpose of Relieving Fleet Street and Holborn': street map, with open spaces and the new road highlighted in colour. Scale: 1 inch to 100 feet. Compass indicator. Inset: westward extension showing Bow Street and vicinity. Later additions show houses on Carey Street and Chancery Lane purchased by the Law Fire Insurance Company or owned by the Rolls Estate; MS reference notes. Signed by James Pennethorne, March 1853.
