The Air Raid Precautions Committee was established in 1924. In 1929, it was reorganised into a Ministerial Committee on Policy and an Official Committee on Organisation.
The papers of the ARP and its sub-committees were circulated to the members of the committee, sub-committees and to other members of the CID, and to other relevant parties for information.
