This series consists of the unregistered correspondence and papers of the Cabinet Office, Historical Section compiled for the published Official War Histories. It includes comments, correspondence, maps, papers, personal accounts, photographs and private war diaries. The series relates mainly to the First World War, although there is one file relating to the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905.
