Enclosure map of Lockton - Lockton Low Moor and Saltersgate Moor (township in the parish of Middleton), North Riding of Yorkshire. Map on two sheets covering the enclosed area only (3370 acres) and showing the land after enclosure. Map is in three parts: part 1 is of Saltersgate Moor area, part 2 is of Lockton Low Moor area, part 3 shows 'lands in respect for which claims allowed and allotmens made' with an enlargement of Lockton village. Also shows waterfall, well, slacks [?springs or water-emitting bogs], named commons, recreation grounds, footpaths or bridleways, named turnpike roads, milestones, guide post, cross, named inn, named railway, quarry, boundary stones, boundary lengths, field boundary ownership. Antiquities shown: Tumuli, ancient Dyke. With border. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. [?]Construction line shown. Map certified for accuracy, 5 September 1872.
