Enclosure award and map of Arkleside Common (in the parish of Coverham), North Riding of Yorkshire. Map covers the enclosed area and some other land (825 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows footpaths or bridleways, stopped up road, named buildings, shooting house, quarries, turbary allotment, sale lots, BS (boundary stones), named physical features. Industrial land-use: lime kilns (suggested by circle-with-eye symbol). With border. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Construction lines shown. By J Rodham, Stockton on Tees, [1883]. Map certified for accuracy, 27 March 1884. Valuer: James Rutherford, Kirkleatham, Yorkshire, Land Surveyor
The county enrolled copy and the parish copy of this map are held at North Riding Record Office, at references QDD(I), no. 2 and PR/COV respectively. North Yorkshire Record Office describes this as 'Carlton High Dale'
