Enclosure award and map of Washington (parish), Sussex. Map on two sheets. Map A covers the enclosed area only (284 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also includes a small detached tract of Ashington. Also shows lakes or ponds, named commons, named turnpike roads, named inn, named buildings, sand pit, [?]windmill, field boundary ownership, some named landowners. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Construction lines shown. By William Figg, Lewes, 1849. Map certified for accuracy, 24 July 1851. Map B covers the enclosed area and some other land (775 acres) and shows the land before enclosure. Also shows lakes or ponds, woods, commons, turnpike roads, houses and uninhabited buildings (distinguished by colour), named buildings, tower mill. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains.
