Enclosure award and map of Cannock Chase - Hammerwich, Staffordshire. Map covers the enclosed area only (700 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows lakes or ponds, named canal (with locks and towpath), plantations, recreation grounds, named turnpike roads and other roads, named inn, named buildings, named railway, gravel pit, land allotted to the poor, field boundary ownership, some named landowners, relief (shown by hachures). With border. Scale: 1 inch to 2 chains. By William Fowler and Sons, 1856. Map certified for accuracy, 20 November 1856. Valuer: William Fowler, Birmingham, Warwickshire, Land Surveyor
