Description

Enclosure award and map of Aldershot (parish), Hampshire. Map covers the enclosed area only (2715 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows lakes or ponds, canal (with locks), plantations, footpaths or bridleways, roads (some named), named inn, pit, hog stye, workhouse, field boundary ownership. Industrial land-use: brick kilns. Antiquities shown: Caesar's Camp, (in gothic, with delicate grey shading). With border. Scale: 1 inch to 4 chains. By [?Edward Hewett], 1855. Map certified for accuracy, 27 May 1856. Valuer: Edward Hewett, Winchfield, Southampton, Land Surveyor
