Enclosure award and map of Thorpe by Water (hamlet), Rutland. Map on three sheets covering the whole parish / township (689.167 acres) and showing the land before and after enclosure. Also shows post-enclosure field acreages, houses and uninhabited buildings (distinguished by colour), named railway, field boundary ownership, named enclosure allottees and allotment acreages. There is an enlargement of the strip along the boundary with Lyddington. Includes cross-sections of drains. With border. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Construction lines shown. By G Smith, 3 Philpot Lane, London, 1852. Map certified for accuracy, 9 June 1854. Valuer: Thomas Smith Woolley, South Collingham, Nottinghamshire, Land Surveyor. Dimensions of maps: 99 cm x 127 cm (2 maps), 15 cm x 99 cm (1 map)
