Description

Enclosure award and map of Fencott and Murcott (township in the parish of Charlton upon Ottmoor), Oxfordshire. Map on two sheets. Map 1 covers the whole parish / township (1138.832 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows lakes or ponds, named river, footbridges, footpaths or bridleways, drain widths, road widths, houses and uninhabited buildings (distinguished by colour), field boundary ownership, named enclosure allottees, land tenure information. With border. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Construction lines shown, with chainages. By [?William Bryan Wood], Barnsbridge, Chippenham, 1847. Map certified for accuracy, 10 December 1849. Map 2 covers the whole parish / township (1138.832 acres) and shows the land before enclosure. Also shows open field strips. With border. Scale: 1 inch to 6 chains. Valuer: Thomas Edward Washbourne, Oxford, Gentleman. Dimensions of maps: Map 1) 116 cm x 169 cm, Map 2) 66 cm x 85 cm
