Description

Enclosure award and map of Whitlaw [Whitlow] (manor in the parish of Kirkhaugh), Northumberland. Map on two sheets covering the whole parish / township (6689.192 acres) and showing the land after enclosure. Also shows named river (with direction of flow), springs, wash pool, woods, osiers, coal road, named railway, sheep pens, boundary Currocks, field boundary ownership. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Construction lines shown. By John Salkeld, 1860. Map certified for accuracy, 8 May 1862. Valuer: John Salkeld, Melmerby, Melmerby, Cumberland, Land Surveyor. Dimensions of maps: 258 cm x 132 cm, 163 cm x 66 cm
