Description

Enclosure award and map of Upshire (hamlet in the parish of Waltham Holy Cross), Essex. Includes Broomstick Hall and Honey Lane Commons. Map covers the enclosed area only (76 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows named commons, hedges, gates, roads (some named), field boundary ownership. With border. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Construction lines shown. By George Chapman, 23 New Street, Spring Gardens, S.W., Valuer, 1862. Map certified for accuracy, 28 January 1864. Valuer: George Chapman, St Martin in the Fields, Middlesex, Land Surveyor
