Also shows named river, springs, wash pool, woods, school, named buildings, waggonway, quarry, sheep fold, stake, field boundary ownership, relief (shown by hachures). Industrial land-use: old shaft. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Construction lines shown. By P Nicholson, Carlisle, [1853]. Map certified for accuracy, 9 March 1854.
