Also shows lakes or ponds, springs, wells, woods, gates and stiles, roads (some named), school, named inn, quarry, field boundary ownership, some named landowners, relief (shown by hachures). Industrial land-use: limekiln. Antiquities shown: Roman Road. With border. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. By Philip Nicholson, Carlisle, [1861]. Map certified for accuracy, 16 April 1863.
