Description

Enclosure award and map of Newton (parish), Cambridgeshire. Map on three sheets. Main map covers the enclosed area only (195 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows named footpaths or bridleways, road widths, rectory, named inn, field boundary ownership, some named landowners. With border. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. By [?Robert Wright], [1851]. Map certified for accuracy, 24 April 1851. Map A covers the enclosed area only (260 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows lakes or ponds, drainage features, named river, tea water pits, footpaths or bridleways, named roads, houses and uninhabited buildings (distinguished by colour), rectory, named inn, some named landowners. Antiquities shown: Roman Bank, Peters Cross. With border. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. By [?Robert Wright], [1849]. Map certified for accuracy, 2 May 1849. Map B covers the enclosed area only (250 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows named roads, rectory, named inn. Antiquities shown: Roman Bank, Peters Cross (pictorial). With border.
