Enclosure award and map of Meppershall (parish), Bedfordshire. Map on two sheets. Map A covers the whole parish / township (1965.299 acres) and shows the land before and after enclosure. Also shows lakes or ponds, woods, open field strips, open field and former field names, footpaths or bridleways, named turnpike roads, houses and uninhabited buildings (distinguished by colour), church (coloured), named buildings, [?]water mill, field boundary ownership, named physical features. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. Construction lines shown. By J Bailey Denton, Gravely, 1846. Map certified for accuracy, 30 June 1853. Map B shows the enclosed area before enclosure. Also shows stopped-up roads. Old enclosures are blank. Valuer: John Bailey Denton, Graveley, Hertfordshire, Land Surveyor. Dimensions of maps: 180 cm x 166 cm, 97 cm x 90 cm
