Description

Detailed map of the Russian Empire and nearby foreign possessions. Also shows rivers, roads, towns, provinces. Reference table. Scale: 10 cm to 80 versts [(1 inch to 12 miles)] . Title in decorative oval surmounted by Russian Imperial eagle bearing crown, orb and sceptre. Dedicated to Tsar Alexander Pavlovich. 102 sheets, joined to form six sheets between 114 cm x 16 cm and 149 cm x 198 cm. [?Drawn by] QMG von Sukhtelen and Major-General Oppermann. Prepared, engraved and printed by His Imperial Majesty's Cartographic Institute. [?1820]: date taken from FO 925 index.
