Black Sea. Two maps: (1) 'Chart of the Euxine or Black Sea and the Sea of Azov; with Plans of the Harbours. Constructed on the Authorities described in the New Directory for the Mediterranean and Black Seas; by John Purdy'. Inset: 'The Bosphorus, or Channel of Constantinople'. Key to abbreviations. Compass stars. Dimensions: 64 cm x 97 cm. Published by R H Laurie, Fleet St, London, 15 November 1834. Improved edition 1848. (2) Plans of harbours as numbered on (1): 'The Approaches to the Danube, From the Sea to Galatz'; 'Bay of Odessa'; 'The NW part of the Black Sea'; 'Ak Metchet, on the NW coast of the Crimea'; 'Eupatoria, or Koslov'; 'Fidonisi, or Serpents' Isle'; 'Strait of Otchakov'; 'Road of Iniada'; 'Bay of Varna'; 'Sevastopol, or Akhtiar'; Yalta and Ourzouf Roads; Soudag Road; Tekie Road; 'Bay of Bourgas'; Kustendji Road; Balaklava; Platana Road; Soukhoum Kale Bay; 'Road of Pchiate'; 'Bay of Tumusse, or of Soujouk-kalé'; 'Penderaklia'; 'Amastra'; 'Sinope in Anatoli'; 'Trapizonte or Trebisonde'; Ghelendjik; Anapa Road; 'Strait of Kertche, or Cimmerian Bosphorus'; 'Estuary or Gulf of the River Don'.
